ANNOTATION
The article considers the main conditions and principles for the formation and effective use of the economic potential of the regional industry. In the context of the transition from the agrarian-industrial type of development to the industrial-agrarian type, the key factor in the successful implementation of the strategic goals of the national economy is the modernization of the industrial sector, taking into account the cultivation of its innovative potential, which makes it possible to effectively use the natural resource potential of the territories. The latter requires the formation of favorable conditions for the implementation of the concept and models of economic growth based on a systematic analysis of the external and internal environment for the flow of socio-economic processes.
The authors substantiate that the conditions and principles for the formation and use of the economic potential of the regional industry, acting as elements of the overall system, are separate parts of the whole mechanism for managing the region's economy. It is necessary to pay attention to the interconnectedness and interdependence of all conditions and principles for the effective use of the economic potential of the territories. At the same time, it should be taken into account that light industry, as a priority area of the region's industrial system, in the context of the transition from the agro-industrial type of development to the industrial-agrarian type, needs a systemic transformation aimed at more efficient use of the industry's potential.
