ANNOTATION 

The article sets the task of classifying regions according to the state of the housing sector. Statistical information on the significance of the main housing indicators in the regions is used to conduct such an analysis. The classification problem is solved by cluster analysis methods as agglomerative and K-means method. Comparing the classification results, it is concluded that the best partition is the classification carried out by the K-means method using the Mahalanobis distance.
