ANNOTATION

This article analyzes the process of econometric modeling of the development of the network economy and the characteristics of the network economy. In the network economy, most of the total domestic product is provided by the processing, production, distribution and consumption of knowledge, which in principle is considered a new resource that determines the development of the world economy. A critical assessment shows that the accumulated volume of human knowledge in modern conditions is almost three-quarters of the world's wealth, but knowledge itself is simultaneously considered as a means of production and as the main result of the activities of many economic entities of the information society.
