 ANNOTATION

 

The article is devoted to considering the issue of applying a competent approach to teaching words and phraseological units in Tajik language lessons in secondary schools. It is emphasized that smart teaching and active learning approaches provide a strong foundation for enhancing students' creative and analytical thinking, responsibility, activity and motivation. The main feature of a competent approach to the educational process is that it is understood as a single set of knowledge, skills and abilities. It is shown that the effective and correct application of a competent approach to the study of words and phraseological units contributes to the formation of a scientific worldview, the development of the quality of expression, and the consolidation of the foundations of knowledge about words and its significance and the development of students’ speech skills.
