 ANNOTATION

The article is written in the form of a review of the book of the Tajik literary critic Misbohiddin Narzikul “Quotes in poetry, prose and modern literary criticism”,and also established the significance and value of the book in understanding the problems of poetry and works of modern literature. In the process of analyzing and reviewing the contents of the book, the author established the place of the book in studying the development of the novel in the literature of the era of independence, types of the novel and the place of the historical novel among them, a different look at the recognition of modern Tajik prose, as well as a review of the most important works of modern prose.In addition, this review examines the place and status of the book in the knowledge of modern poetry, the poetic mission of Ustad Loik Sherali and the style of his poems, research issues of such types of poetry as free and new poetry, and shows reviews of the poetry of young poets.The author of the article came to the conclusion that three sections of the book discuss the most important problems of modern literary review and present it as a mirror of the recognition of modern national literature.
