 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the consideration of the historical essence of the Khujand school of maqom and its influence on neighboring regions. It is noted that as a result of the introduction of Tajik classical poetry to folk musical traditions and the spread of Tajik-Persian poetry at the Khan’s court, the popularization of playing the tambor, the creation of workshops for the manufacture of musical instruments, the emergence creative competition with private schools of folk art, the creation of a “master-apprentice” school, contributed to the formation of a maqom school in Khujand and its environs. The formation of the maqom school in Khujand dates back to the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. It has been proven that the outstanding hafiz of Khujagd of that time - Khudoiberdi Hafiz (Zebopari), Umar Hafiz and Sodirkhon Hafiz had a great influence on many maqom singers of Isfara, Khujand, Tashkent, Fergana and Margilon. It is noted that as a result of the transfer of professional traditions of the maqom school to neighboring regions, scientific and practical schools of music were created, which was implemented according to the traditional apprenticeship system (“ustod-shogird”), which contributed to the continuation of the centuries-old tradition of Tajik musical culture and the formation of the characteristics of classical music.
