ANNOTATION

The article traces the attitude of the Soviet authorities in the face of local governments towards religious institutions of Khujand and their figures in the 20-30s of the XX century. It is noted that during this period the mosgues, as well as the religious figures of the city, were subjected to all sorts of displacement. The socialist reorganization of the state led to the fact that secular institutions were equipped on the site of the closed mosgues of Khujand, spiritual estate of the city now become and were considered «unnecessary», «alien», «hostile» groups for the state. Ultimately under the pressure of tough measures taken by the authorities, most of the existing religious institutions of Khujand, as well as their ministers, underwent final liquidation in these years.
