ANNOTATION

The given article reveals the contribution of famous Russian archeologist T.K. Belyaeva to archeological excavations of the Khujand Fortress. It was this archaeologist who found remnants from the VIII-V centuries BC which became the basis for the celebration of the 2500-year anniversary of Khujand. Archaeologists have unearthed many artifacts of the ancient period on the territory of the city and the fortress. These findings testify to the rich and ancient history of Khujand. T.V.Belyaeva made her great and valuable contribution to the archeology of Khujand.
