ANNOTATION

The article reviews the place of the written source “Tuhfat-ul-khoni” of Muhammadvafo Karminagi in the study of the history of Bukhara Khanate referring to the 18^th century. The author gives information about the manuscript “Tuhfat-ul-khoni”, its facsimile edition, transliteration of writing from Persian into Tajik Cyrillic and conducted researches on its basis. The author of the article notes that “Tuhfat-ul-khoni” details the political situation of Ashtarkhan state, the attack of Nodirshoh on Movarounnahr,  Ashtarkhanids dynasty collapse and Mangyt dynasty’s coming to power, Muhammadrahimkhon`s desire to centralize the state, subjugate certain regions and Doniyolbi`s reign. The relevant historical source describes social, cultural life and ethnic composition of Bukhara as well. Finally, the author notes that “Tuhfat-ul-khoni” of Muhammadvafo Karminagi is considered to be one of the rare sources in the study of the history of Bukhara Khanate referring to the 18^th century and contains unique information about with political, military, social, cultural and ethnic life.
