 ANNOTATION

In her article the author speaks about communicative competence formation in the study of the Tajik language. It is underscored that the main goal beset with the Tajik language teaching is considered to be students' communicative competence formation being the basis of language skills. It is worth mentioning that while teaching the Tajik language, elements of communicative competence are resorted to, such as paying more attention to recitation of poetic and prose texts intonation, observing the etiquette of discussion, dialogue, question and answer etc. In teaching the Tajik language, communicative competence development is impossible without oral and written speech skills preparation. As a result of studying the theme explored, the author came to the conclusion that knowledge of vocabulary and grammar does not ensure the development of communication skills. These skills are formed by involving students in the educational process, increasing the motivational factor, solving certain pedagogical problems in the educational process, and the ability to work with educational materials in order to use them in certain areas.
