In researching the topic, the author has tried to analyze the topic of national self-awareness in the context of universal values in the form of genres of journalism in these publications.  Journalism as a branch of science like any other field is divided into genres.  Genre plays an important role in the work of a journalist, and the creative activity or fruitful work of a journalist cannot be achieved well and collectively without genre.  Genre is the editor in charge of a journalist’s work.  The journalist organizes the collected material, which is the result of many searches and reflections, and presents it to the reader in a box with the name of the genre.  The author also quotes the views of Tajik scholars and researchers in the recognition of the genre, which was published in the materials of the two above-mentioned publications during 2010-2015, which enriched the analytical side of this article. One thing to note about Marid is that all the genres mentioned are different from each other.  At the same time, during the analysis, the article contains quotations that the publications have published in the form of various genres and defended the universal values of the Tajik nation in the international arena.  Therefore, at the end of the article, the author suggests to the founders of the newspaper and journalists and other media workers to take into account the interests of the nation and the state in the coverage and promotion of national self-awareness in the framework of universal values, regardless of the format.  not to lose their political intelligence and to contribute to the defense of their national interests.
