 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the use of proverbs and sayings in the collection of poems by the Tajik poet Loik Sherali "Khonai dil" ("House of the Heart"). While studying all aspects of the work of the great poet Loik Sherali the author of the article notes that the poet in the collection "Khonai Dil" used many folk proverbs and sayings and, in turn, inspired by these folk genres, created such laconic poetic lines that entered the treasury of oral folk creativity in the form of proverbs and sayings. In the course of the research, the author found 107 proverbs and sayings in Khonai Dil, among which there are those created by the poet himself. It can be concluded that one of the reasons for the charm, grace and eloquence of Loic's poetry is the masterful use of folk wisdom.
