The article mentions the stages of the industrial revolution, the content and significance of industry four, the digital economy, and its technological basis is reviewed and analyzed. Features of the main directions of development of industry 4.0 in modern conditions of digitalization of the economy, such as: digitalization of things and services included in the business portfolio of the enterprise; digitalization and integration of vertical and horizontal chains; digital business models and interactive interaction with key and knowledgeable customers based on services, based on data and the like are justified and analyzed
