ANNOTATION
The article updates the issues of the influence of transport infrastructure on the socio-economic development of the region. Based on the analysis of the main indicators of the transport infrastructure in the Sоgd region, the dependence of the economic growth of the region on the total volume of cargo and passenger transportation, the length of roads and the efficiency of their use in a growing economy was revealed.The work substantiates that one of the leading sectors of material production is transport, without which it is impossible to overcome the territorial gap between the production and consumption of goods and services.Based on the results of the analysis, both positive and negative factors of the impact of transport infrastructure on growth and development in the region were identified.
