ANNOTATION
In this article, through the prism of determining the characteristics of the socio-economic development of the regions of Tajikistan in ensuring the implementation of the goals of the green economy, the conditions for maximizing employment of the population, increasing their well-being, fair distribution of income between different segments of the population and ultimately ensuring macroeconomic stability are identified. As a result of the study, it was determined that the same conditions do not exist for the implementation of elements of a green economy in the regions of the country. Therefore, when implementing elements of a green economy, it is necessary to pay close attention to the socio-economic development of regions. Since without taking into account the peculiarities of the socio-economic development of the regions, the effective implementation of the goals of the green economy seems impossible. A differentiated approach to the implementation of a green economy in the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan involves the development of a set of measures that should take into account the peculiarities of regional development. In this aspect, research into the possibilities and prerequisites for the development of a green economy in the regions of the country is considered appropriate.
