ANNOTATION

This article is devoted to the analysis of the regional institutional environment in the context of determining the relationship between institutional trust and the investment attractiveness of the region. The author’s carried out an analysis in the Tajik society (entrepreneurs) and ideas about the effectiveness of institutional trust in overcoming difficult life situations. It is shown that the level of institutional trust in society remains not high, but rather stable. However, the institutions that act as symbols of the Tajik statehood, but have little effect on the investment attractiveness of the country's regions, cause the greatest confidence in this case. At the same time, the assessments that respondents give to the effectiveness of the institutional system in solving the problems of investment support for the development of the natural resource potential of the region are not high enough, and most respondents are sure that they can count on the help of certain institutions. The author’s notes that low assessments of the effectiveness of institutions in difficult life situations, which are characteristic of the investment attractiveness of regions, are based not only on hypothetical ideas. It is noted that the effectiveness of the use of investment resources for the development and use of the natural resource potential of the regions can directly overestimate the level of institutional trust, however, trust can be lost very quickly, but it takes a long time to acquire it
