 ANNOTATION

The article examines the influence of the philosophical ideas of Omar Khayyam on the ghazals of Saadi Shirazi. In the course of discussing this issue, the author notes that, along with the presentation of the theme of earthly and mystical love, Saadi’s ghazals also contain some of Khayam’s philosophical thoughts. Using examples from Khayyam's quatrains and Saadi's ghazals, the influence of Khayyam's philosophical thoughts on Saadi's ghazals is analyzed, especially on the themes of the transition of the human spirit from one form to another after his death, about the meaning of human life, about his vulnerability in the face of fate and time, about the charm of fleeting moments joy. The result of the study of the topic shows that the influence of Khayyam’s philosophical ideas is clearly noticeable in Saadi’s work, especially in his ghazals. The way of expression of these two poets in the analyzed issue is different, since Khayyam's style of speech is in a philosophical spirit with a critical look and doubts about fate and despair about the end of human life. However, Saadi sang confidently and enthusiastically, in a romantic spirit, the same thoughts of Khayyam about life and death, the beginning and end of human life.
