 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the study and research of the extensive scientific and literary activity of the famous Tajik scientist, Doctor of Philology, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, professor Rajab Amonov. Based on the analysis of rich material, it evaluates the contribution of this multidisciplinary scientist to the collection, publication and research of oral folk art, and proves his invaluable role in the formation and development of the science of Tajik folklore. At the same time, attention was paid to his literary activity, a number of monographs and collections of articles devoted to written literature, especially the history of children's Tajik literature, were discussed from a scientific point of view, and his contribution to this field of science was determined. At the same time, information is given about the writer’s artistic work, which consists of short stories, essays, short stories and other literary genres.
