 ANNOTATION

As far as our practice shows, a number of issues regarding the methodical preparedness of foreign language teachers for the use of English text material in the Tajik audience remain unresolved. Among them, we can note the techniques aimed at developing oral speech, reading techniques, and translation skills of students through texts. Based on this, the present article is dwelt upon the effectiveness of using English-language authentic texts in the process of foreign language education, and mainly describes the ways of developing the methodical competence of the future foreign language teachers to work with such texts in their professional activity.
