ANNOTATION
The article discusses the use and possibilities of new information technologies in higher and secondary educational institutions in the educational process, which are called virtual laboratories. To date, many virtual laboratories are already known in many subjects of school and university programs. A virtual laboratory is a set of computer programs that simulate the processes of conducting large-scale experimental research on a specific topic. Virtual labs allow you to perform virtual testing tasks in a computer environment - on the desktop of the corresponding program. At the same time, students and schoolchildren do not deal with real measuring instruments, but with their “images” on a computer screen. This allows you to perform experimental work much faster and at lower economic costs, make them interesting for students and increase their motivational component compared to the traditional form of education. But virtual laboratories are of particular importance for distance learning. It is important to note that the results of using virtual laboratories in the educational process are worthy and very effective.
