ANNOTATION

The article analyzes the scientific activities of the first local history museum of Tajikistan (in Khujand) in the field of protection and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people. It is noted that the newly formed museum  from the very beginning devoted his activities to the search, research, study and preservation of the valuable heritage, history and culture of our ancestors, especially Northern Tajikistan. It is noted that in 1932-1937 the employees of the Museum of Northern Tajikistan excavated archaeological sites and obtained a large amount of material on the history of the material culture of the Tajiks. The results of the archaeological activity of the museum and the materials obtained from the excavations became a reliable fund for the archeology of subsequent years.
