 ANNOTATION

With the increasing use of social networks by applicants and students, the use of these networks to reflect activities, present scientific achievements and promote university services has become important and a requirement of the time. In this article, in order to study the activity of the official pages of universities in the Sughd region on social networks, their statistical indicators are analyzed and compared, and specific recommendations are given for improving their activities. This is the first time such an analysis has been carried out, and its results are important for the development and improvement of university websites. As a result of the study, it turned out that universities in the region are mainly active on Facebook and Instagram, and at the research stage, the page of the Khujand State University named after academician Bobojon Gafurov, as well as the Institute, was more active. The Mining and Metallurgical Department of Tajikistan and the Institute of Exact Sciences and Technologies of Tajikistan have not published anything
