 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the study of the literary heritage of one of the famous poets of the late XIX-th and early XX-th centuries, Idriskhoja Roji (1878-1918) and his mesnevi “Tazkirat-ul-hattotin”. It is noted that this mesnevi, written in poetic form, is one of the important historical and literary sources of the early twentieth century and it provides information about 60 calligraphers of his time. It is emphasized that this tazkire describes the creative atmosphere of the ХVIII-XIX th and early XX-th centuries in Bukhara and in Maverannahr in general. The information it contains about calligraphers, book designers, poets, and the varieties of writing is very interesting and important. The author comes to the conclusion that tazkire materials have great historical and literary value, because, on the one hand, it provides important historical information about various types of art, in particular calligraphy, and on the other hand, it reveals the artistic features of poetic tazkire and the stylistic originality of the work of one of the prominent representatives of the XIX-th and early XX-th centuries, Idriskhoja Roji.
