 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the analyzes of the history of cultural issues of the Tajik SSR in the pre-war years that is common in modern historiography and has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign researchers. A number of scientific studies have been carried out on these issues during the Soviet and independence eras, which include various aspects of the culture of Soviet Tajikistan. From the content of the researched works, it is clear that in the five years before the war, the activities of cultural and educational institutions, art, science, press, literature and education were developing. The peculiarity of the completed studies is expressed in the fact that the researchers covered various aspects of the republic’s culture in accordance with certain chronological periods, and to some extent found significant results and innovations.
