 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the topical issue of literary criticism – the study of sources of “Jawame’-ul-hikayat wa lavame’-ur-riwayat” the work of the great writer and anthologist of the XII-XIII centuries Muhammad Aufi. The author of the article especially notes the merits of domestic and foreign scientists in the study of the life and work of the author Muhammad Aufi, and emphasizes that the problem of studying the sources of this work has not yet been the subject of a thorough study.In view of the multidirectionality and multiplicity of sources, they have been first defined, and then classified by the author. The author divides the sources according to their topics into special groups, such as historical, moral and ethical, religious and sufi, scientific, political and administrative, and provides the necessary information on each of these sources.
