 ANNOTATION

The article deals with the study and teaching of English grammar through metaphor. It shows that metaphor not only helps to describe the real world or to look at any concept or idea from another point of view, but also provides a wide opportunity to understand the complex and contradictory foreign language teachings research theories and principles. It also plays an important role in teachers’ professional development as a means of describing concepts. The authors of the article offer two ways to effectively master grammar called "brick wall", where students gradually master the grammatical structure of language, and "organic garden", where students study grammar in real-life situations and practice their grammar skills in foreign language contexts. The authors recommend teachers to use these two methods, the natural garden and the brick wall, in their classroom to make the study of grammar more effective.
