 ANNOTATION

The article under consideration dwells on the issue concerned with goal-setting at foreign language lessons in order to achieve the educational aims in the process of the study of the subject. The author of the article asserts that for this a foreign language teacher needs, firstly, to acquire a certain amount of knowledge about the system and the content of education; secondly, to form professional and pedagogical skills in the process of studying and performing certain actions with educational material. Proceeding from her own experience in managing the teaching practice of students of a language university, the author of the article describes in detail how the educational potential of a foreign language manifests itself in the organization of the educational process in the content of educational material.
