 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the issue concerned with historical factors aimed at convening of the 16^th session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan Republic in Arbob Palace. Designing on the premise of the historical materials, the study of reliable documents, the authors of the article conduct an analysis beset with the socio-political state of the republic appertaining to the early 90-ies of the 20^th century. The authors make an endeavor to show the unscrupulous goals of demo-Islamic forces. Particular attention is paid to political demonstrations coverage, the Government of national accord creation and headquarters of "Salvation of Motherland". It is underscored that it was the historical session developed the ways of moderation of the republic and directed the Tajik people to achieve peace and tranquility
