 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the history of penetration and spread of the Christian religion in Central Asia. Christianity - one of the ancient religions originated in the eastern provinces of the Roman Empire. Further, due to historical circumstances it spread to other places, including Central Asia. Archaeological monuments, buildings of churches, monasteries, religious writings in Sughdian, Syriac and Turkic languages testify to the spread of the relevant religion. The merit of the Nestorians - followers of the Christian religion, who came from the Roman Empire to Iran, and then moved to Central Asia, East Turkestan, Semirechye, is very great in the spread of Christianity. Before the arrival of the Arabs, Christians in Central Asia had great influence, their own church and metropolis. Then they were driven out by the Arabs. Monasteries turned into mosques.
