 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the implementation of text-oriented approach at the initial stage of work on the formation of communicative, linguistic and language competence in students of the 1st and 2nd courses. It is noted that the use of texts and tasks for them in practical classes on the development of speech introduces students to the text-forming properties of grammatical units, their role in the organization of texts and also helps to transfer knowledge about grammar into practical (speech) activities. It is concluded that in order to form students' knowledge about grammatical structures and text-forming properties of grammatical units, it is necessary to carry out a multidimensional analysis of texts, as well as perform language, speech and text tasks and exercises, examples of which are presented in the given article.
