ANNOTATION
The article dwells on the difficult situation of the first decade of the 20th century in Bukhara, the underground anti-Russian activities of reactionary priests and the preparation of two uprisings in 1910 and 1911, which were prevented by the police. At the end of the nineteenth century and especially in the two decades of the twentieth century, the situation in Bukhara was not calm. The tragic adventure of Shiites and Sunnis has aggravated the already turbulent situation in the emirate's capital. After settling the tragic adventure of Shiites and Sunnis and investigating its causes, the colonial institutions of Russia strengthened control and surveillance over the activities of the emir, officials of the emir's court, intellectuals, Jadids and reactionary priests. Especially the police intensified their activities and collected secret information from their agents from the city's neighborhoods, bazaars and caravanserais. Tsarist Russia was more afraid that the anti-Russian sentiments of reactionary priests would turn into a powerful movement and Bukhara might join Afghanistan or Turkey. As a result of the operational measures of the Russian police, it was possible to prevent two uprisings in Bukhara.
