ANNOTATION

The article dwells on an important problem for modern Tajikistan - preservation of national identity by introducing the younger generation to the centuries-old architectural traditions of the Tajik people. In the article the architectural traditions of the construction of dabistan, dabiristan and madrasahs are given in historical order. It is underscored the features of the construction of educational institutions in different historical stages of development of the Tajik people. Proceeding from the analysis and careful study of historical heritage, the author comes to the conclusion that some of the construction and architectural techniques of the Middle Ages can be used in modern design. Attractive in this regard are domed vaults, the presence of aivans, the division of classrooms into summer and winter, spatial isolation of library as an integral functional part of the school building.
