ANNOTATION

In her article the author lays an emphasis upon the idea of the importance of moral education of students based on ethnopedagogical knowledge. Each nation has its own national traditions, customs and oral creativity, which is an important means of young people upbringing. Ethnic and folk pedagogy consider all aspects of moral education in relation to each other. In particular, education of patriotism and humanism, honest attitude to work, honesty and truthfulness, politeness and humility, etiquette in relations with peers and adults, friendship, comradeship, protection of common interests, love for each other, helping each other, choosing a worthy friend, maintaining good manners in friendship, the strength of friendship, and so on, which are usually called moral lessons. The article notes that traditions, holidays, customs and rituals with a thousand-year history play a significant and serious role in formation of moral education, a sense of national pride, patriotism and civic responsibility, in protecting moral values of the current generation, especially young people. In this regard, the author underscores that traditions and customs as an integral part of folk pedagogy with a long history play a significant role in younger generation upbringing. Thus, the author comes to the conclusion that morality and spirituality, ideas of humanity and aesthetics, examples of heroism, courage, hard work, physical maturity among the people are expressed in proverbs, songs, legends and epics.
