ARCHITECTURAL ART USTRUSHAN IN HISTORIOGRAPHICAL SCIENCE

ANNOTATION
The article dwells on the issue concerned with historiography of art of construction and architecture of one of the historical regions of Maverannahr - medieval Ustrushan. It is underscored that written medieval sources, as well as pre-revolutionary and Soviet Russian researchers, home and foreign scientists provide valuable information beset with art of construction and architecture. These sources and publications report on the use of building materials, methods of construction of buildings, dwellings, palaces of Afshins. They note that alongside with information from written historical materials, archaeological finds are an important source for studying the art of construction of Ustrushanians. It is noted that of the three parts of the medieval city kuhandiz (fortress), shakhristan (residential settlement) and rabat (bazaar and workshops), kuhandiz and rabat have been studied in details.
