ANNOTATION

The article under consideration dwells on the position of assessment in the process of art and labor lessons and is considered to be one of the key issues beset with transition from traditional education to a competent approach at secondary schools of Tajikistan Republic. The authors lay an emphasis upon the idea that in the process of competence-based approach assessment is of great importance aimed at improvement of the quality of education; it is an important component of the educational process as well. In this system, the teacher is given the opportunity to carry out an individual approach to students and designing on the premise of the assessment diagnose the skills and abilities they have acquired the former promoting the correct organization of the educational process on the part of the teacher. In this case, the students` sense of responsibility develops, on the whole.
