ANNOTATION

The leading idea of the competence approach is to provide the “long-term effect” of school education on future life for each student in which a special place is given ability to think independently, make decisions and adequately assess the situation.The given article describes the advantages of the competence approach when teaching chemistry, which helps students, not only in mastering the amount of knowledge, and the fact that it helps students to master skills, allows them to set goals, make decisions and act in typical and unusual situations.In the formation of students` competence training sessions in chemistry, they are planned and aimed at ensuring that they are, first of all, contributed to the development of motivation, which is achieved by the teacher the message to pupils of the most interesting facts from a subject. In the future, students develop the skills of self-search answers on the raised questions, independent solution of problem situations, ability to analyze facts, generalize and draw logical conclusions.Selection of the appropriate system of teaching methods in the competence approach provides an opportunity for students not only to learn disparate knowledge and skills in chemistry, but also to master them in a complex, which is the main purpose of the subject.
