ANNOTATION

This article gives the concept of food security and the history of the emergence of this problem at the global level. The role and importance of the economic regions of the republic in ensuring the food security of the population have been studied and analyzed. The main characteristics of each region (oblast) of the republic and their main directions in the production of agricultural products are given. In the article, the author analyzed the state of the agrarian sector of the republic in the production of agricultural and livestock products for a certain period. Comparative analyzes of manufactured products with the annual rate of food consumption per capita are also made. The author proposes recommendations for the reproduction of food products and the development of the agricultural sector in ensuring the food security of the country's population.
