ANNOTATION

The article discusses the theoretical aspects of the implementation of state industrial policy, aimed at modernizing the structure of national production and increasing the output of competitive products. The approaches to the substantiation and practical implementation of policy that have developed within the framework of various scientific schools are analyzed and systematized. It is shown that, despite the diversity and inconsistency of conceptual ideas about the essence of industrial policy that remain in the academic literature, a number of general provisions regarding its content can be distinguished, in respect of which a semblance of consensus is gradually emerging in the scientific community. This may indicate an emerging convergence of the views of researchers on certain significant issues in the implementation of industrial policy.
