ANNOTATION
The article examines the problems of labor migrants who work and have worked for many years (more than two to three decades) in Russia and who are forced to return to their homeland, either voluntarily or forcibly. The article also shows the functioning and structure of the migration system in Russia. The study was conducted during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the borders of Russia were closed to migrant workers and their socio-economic situation deteriorated both at home and in Russia.
