ANNOTATION

The article tells about the importance of literary and precedent texts in teaching the Russian language to Tajik students. It reviews the texts of historical and cultural orientation in a foreign audience. The study addresses the issue of integrated teaching of the Russian language and literature in the post-Soviet education system of the Republic of Tajikistan. The methodological potential of texts for working out lexical and grammatical constructions is also reviewed, historical facts described in the works of Russian writers are presented, a list of precedent texts that are advisable to use in Russian language classes in a Tajik school is given. The article emphasizes the role of the text for the development of schoolchildren's thinking, as an incentive to discuss various problems in the audience, a means of developing communication skills and forming a language picture of the world of students. The value potential of the texts of works of Russian literature as a way of forming tolerant attitudes towards foreign cultural characteristics and customs is also considered.
