 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the role of fiction in the formation and development of organized speech in preschoolers. The tasks, teaching standards, principles of introducing a child to fiction, the teacher's position in the formation of children's speech through fiction are highlighted. The author tried to comprehensively study the role of fiction in the formation of children's speech. It is noted that the understanding of works of art should be taught to children of school age periodically. The author, dividing this process into stages, revealed the role of state standards and programs in this area. It is emphasized that children understand the simplest connection of the plot of the work and evaluate the behavior of the characters, and this situation provides practical assistance in the child's self-esteem and the formation of cognitive processes. The methodology for conducting activities to familiarize with literature for the development of the speech of preschool children is presented as a manual for teachers. It is concluded that by studying works of art of various genres, children learn about the world around them, their thinking and speech develop.
