 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the study of poets` literary notions referring to the XVI-th – the XVII-th centuries. Designing on the premise of an analysis beset with the theme explored the author of the article reveals that outstanding poets of Tajik literature of that period were proud of grace and sonority of their poetry, which were mentioned in their poems. It is determined that ghazal possessing specific features as the one of popular genre appertaining to the relevant period, ranks central place in the poets` literary productions referring to the XVI-th – the XVII-th centuries, and it is exposed by view of famous  poets` who lived in the period in question. The author of the article comes to conclusion that while some poets followed poetry of Khusrav Dehlavi, Hasan Dehlavi, Hofiz Sherazi and Kamol Khujandi others turned to new poetry or “Style Poetry”  and poetry of both direction are resorted to in high literary importance.
