 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the issue concerned with using various video materials as a teaching tool and multimedia materials in the process of English teaching. It is underscored that in recent years the concept of "multimedia" has acquired a special meaning and is widely used in teaching foreign languages. Video materials as a learning tool play an important role in mastering various aspects of the English language. In particular, they contribute to the achievement of the main goal of learning English - the development of communication skills. The ideas of the author are substantiated, the problems and successes of the subject of research are considered, examples of the use of various video materials are given and the necessary recommendations are given. The ideas are summarized and conclusions are presented on the research topic. In the end, he emphasizes that a number of requirements must be met when using video materials. The article is devoted to one of the most important issues in the methodology of teaching English - the use of video materials, and a brief overview of the problems and successes of the subject of research is presented.
