 ANNOTATION

The article is devoted to the issue of improving quality teaching physics, which requires the improvement of methods for the formation of a body of physical knowledge. It is noted that this issue is successfully resolved if teachers of secondary educational institutions know the theoretical foundations of the process of formation of physical concepts and are able to apply them. It is emphasized that in the process of teaching physics, the assimilation of basic physical concepts by students is very important. For the effective assimilation of physical concepts by the students, it is necessary that the teacher correctly organizes the process of concept formation. In order for the teacher to consciously manage this process, he must know its main characteristic features and patterns.

The article provides many interpretations of the term “concepts” in the psychological and pedagogical literature, analyzes the authors’ research on various methods of forming physical concepts and concepts of other sciences related to physics, as well as conclusions on the considered problems.
