ANNOTATION
The article dwells on one of the topical problems beset with methods of teaching Russian language - a differentiated approach with elements of individualization in teaching Russian spelling. It is underscored that the solution of the problem concerned with adaption of the educational process to each individual student lies in the learning process differentiation. As practice shows, students entering the faculty of Russian philology have different levels of training in the Russian language as a result of which the issue dealing with differentiated learning comes to the fore in order to achieve learning goals. The authors propose to divide groups of students into temporary working groups in classes on Russian spelling with a differentiated approach, depending on the ability, working capacity, and individual psychological characteristics of students. Resorting to specific examples, they prove that a differentiated approach to teaching literate Russian writing makes it possible to take into account the characteristics of individual groups of students, to carry out a progressive process of mastering the material. As well as, the authors offer specific methods and techniques of differentiated learning, used in the classroom in Russian spelling.
