 ANNOTATION

The article dwells on consideration beset with the place of written source entitled as “Khusrawi`s Zafar-Name” in the study of the history of Bukhara Emirate under Emir Nasrullah`s reign (1827-1860). First of all, the authors adduce information concerned with the manuscript itself, its facsimile edition, its transcript from the Persian script and research carried out on its grounds. It is underscored that the relevant treatise reflects political and military situation in Bukhara Emirate, the issue dealing with accession to Emir Nasrullah`s throne, his efforts to centralize state, subordination of certain regions, rivalry with Kokand and Khiva khanates. They clarify the issues in regard to historical topography, the army structure and military campaigns organization. The written source in question tells about the events took place in the north of Afghanistan (Balkh, Okcha, Tashkurgan, Kunduz, Chorviloyat) as well.
