ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the legal basis for activities of women in Soviet Tajikistan; proceeding from the material of press of the Soviet period the author considers the problem in question. It is underscored that despite the equal rights of men and women according to the first Soviet Constitution, family traditions, some vestiges of the past, manners and customs created an obstacle to the fruitful activity of women in various spheres of the national economy. The author of the article lays an emphasis upon the idea that the positive role of the campaigning activities in the relevant direction of a number of Tajik women, which to a certain extent promoted the solution of the problem under consideration.
