ANNOTATION

The article dwells on the issue beset with knowledge formation and students` aesthetic education in the process of teaching Tajik literature. In their article the authors determine the main tasks of the teacher for students` competence formation and for instilling in them a love for artistic word through acquaintance with literary works. Particular attention is paid to the presentation of information to students about the world fame of the great Persian-Tajik writers on the example of Hafiz Shirazi. Adducing the results of comprehensive analysis dealing with the content of the manual "Tajik Literature" (for the sixth grade) the authors propose to add the following points to the curriculum: -to expand the biographical information about Hafiz after the third paragraph, where it comes to the poet's parents.-to offer more detailed comments on the place names-toponyms about the place of birth of Hafiz, including the concepts "Musallo", "Ruknobod", "Allohu Akbar".-to remind students of the poet's world fame by including in the textbook fragments relating to him from the works of Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Shibli N'moni, Saib.-to resort to interpretation of Fakhriy (self-praise) of the poet for the students' perception of hidden meanings and hints, clarification of the features of the poetic style of Hafiz.To achieve the goal of the lesson, teachers of Tajik literature are advised not to be limited only to the materials of the textbook, but also to refer to scientific works and works of art related to the topic, which will contribute to improving the quality of the lesson.
