 ANNOTATION

Designing on the premise of sources, primarily archival materials and scientific literature, the author dwells on the formation and expansion of a secondary specialized medical institution in Khujand-city, reveals the famous scientist Hamdam Rofiev`s contribution into strengthening the material base developing the educational process of both teaching and learning. In the second part of the article, the author provides information concerned with Professor Hamdam Rofiev`s role and place in the development of Abuali ibn Sino Tajik State Medical University and organization of educational research work in the institution, writing scientific articles and trainingscientific and pedagogical personnel. It is underscored that Professor H.K. Rofiev is considered to be one of the founders of modern medicine, and his scientific achievements and research results are recognized by specialists in epidemiology and infectious diseases in the country and abroad as well.
