ANNOTATION 

The authors assessed the ecological and economic state of the Northern Tajikistan area in terms of the ratio of the main categories of land use, which are characterized by a different degree of anthropogenic impact. The coefficients of the relative and absolute tension of the area have been calculated. The coefficient of natural protection of the area has been determined. Spatial analysis showed the presence of significant differentiation of these indicators across the area of the region.
